Privacy Policy

Fisherman Bible (Žvejo biblija) Last updated: 20 September 2026

This policy explains what information the Fisherman Bible app ("the app") uses, where it goes and what choices you have. The app is made by MediaNomine, Katinų kaimas, Lithuania ("we", "us"). Contact: medianomine@gmail.com.

In short

• You don't need an account. The app has no ads, and we don't sell or share your data for advertising.
• Your catches, spots, photos and notes are stored only on your phone.
• Fish recognition runs on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded.
• To show the weather and bite forecast, the app sends your approximate location (rounded to about 100 m) to a weather service.
• The app sends anonymous usage statistics to help us improve it. You can turn this off at any time.

1. Information stored only on your device

The following stays on your phone and is never sent to us:

• catches: species, weight, length, bait, method, notes, photos, date and time, place, and the weather saved with each catch;
• saved fishing spots (name and coordinates);
• trophies and personal bests;
• your settings.

You can delete any item in the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

Export and import. If you export your data, the app creates a ZIP file and opens your phone's share menu. You choose where the file goes (for example, your cloud drive or email). From then on, that service's own privacy policy applies. We never receive the file.

2. Location

If you allow it, the app uses your phone's location only while the app is open, to show the local forecast, save spots and add a place to your catches. You can refuse and add fishing spots on the map instead.

To get the weather, the app sends coordinates rounded to about 100 m to Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com and marine-api.open-meteo.com). To show a place name and choose the right fishing rules, the app uses your phone's built-in place-name service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS). The same place-name service is used to name the place of a saved catch when you open it. We do not receive or store your location.

When you tap Open in Maps on a catch or a boat ramp, your phone's maps app opens at that point. From then on that app's own privacy policy applies.

3. Camera and photos

The app uses the camera or your photo gallery only when you add a photo to a catch or identify a fish. Fish recognition runs entirely on your phone; photos are not sent anywhere. Photos you attach are stored in the app on your phone.

4. Maps and depth maps

The map is provided by Google Maps (on Android) and Apple Maps (on iOS), both on the map screen and in the small map shown with a saved catch. Lake and sea depth layers are loaded from public map services: EMODnet Bathymetry (EU), geoportal.lt (Lithuania), the Finnish Environment Institute SYKE (Finland) and the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate NVE (Norway). These services receive the map area you are viewing and, as with any internet request, your IP address. Their own privacy policies apply. The app does not send them any other information about you.

Boat ramps and fishing places. These come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and are stored inside the app. Showing them needs no internet connection, and nothing about where you look is sent anywhere.

5. Anonymous usage statistics

To understand which features are used and what to improve, the app sends anonymous usage statistics to PostHog, which stores them on servers in the European Union.

What is sent: which screens are opened; feature events, for example that a catch was logged (with the species and whether a photo, weight or length was added), that a fish was identified (with the top species and how confident the result was), that a bait was chosen from the list or a shop link was opened (with the bait and shop name), that the patterns screen was opened (with how many catches you have), or which map layers you switched on; steps of the first-launch introduction; app version, operating system, device model and language; and a random ID created when the app is installed.

What is never sent: coordinates, place or spot names, notes, photos, anything you type, your name or your email address. We do not create user profiles, and we do not use your IP address to work out where you are; IP addresses are discarded.

Your choice: statistics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time in Spots → Settings → Anonymous usage stats. After that, nothing more is sent.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the app working well and improving it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: 12 months, then deleted.

6. Bite alerts (notifications)

If you turn on bite alerts, the app schedules them on your phone from the forecast it has already downloaded. No push service is used and no notification token is sent to anyone.

7. Sharing

When you share a catch, a trophy or a forecast, the app opens your phone's share menu and you choose the recipient. Catch and trophy cards never contain coordinates; the place name is included only if you turn it on. A shared forecast contains a link with an approximate area (rounded to about 10 km) so the recipient can open the same forecast.

8. Affiliate links

Some fishing gear shown in the app (for example suggested baits and lures for a species, or in your catch journal) links to a retailer such as Amazon or a specialist tackle shop. These are affiliate links: if you buy something after tapping one, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Tapping a link opens it in your browser; from that point the retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply. We do not receive any information about what, if anything, you buy.

9. Other

• Ratings. The app may ask you to rate it using the Google Play or App Store rating window. That is handled by Google or Apple; we only see the public rating, if you leave one.
• Feedback by email. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed.
• Links. Links to official fishing rules and licences open in your browser. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Most of your data is only on your phone, so you control it directly. Usage statistics are anonymous, so in most cases we cannot link them to you; turning them off stops collection. For any question, contact medianomine@gmail.com.

You can also complain to the Lithuanian data protection authority, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt), or to the authority in your own country.

<a id="delete"></a> How to delete your data

1. Everything on your phone (catches, spots, photos, notes, trophies, settings): delete single items in the app, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling deletes all of it permanently. We never have a copy, so nothing is left on our side.
2. Anonymous usage statistics: turn them off in Spots → Settings → Anonymous usage stats. Nothing more is sent from then on.
3. Statistics already collected: write to medianomine@gmail.com and ask us to delete them. The data holds no name, email or location, so to find your records please include the app's random install ID from Spots → Settings. We delete them within 30 days. Otherwise they are deleted automatically after 12 months.

There is no account to delete, because the app has none.

12. Security

All data the app sends over the internet is encrypted (HTTPS).

13. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Trumpai

• Paskyros nereikia. Programėlėje nėra reklamų, o jūsų duomenų neparduodame ir neperduodame reklamai.
• Jūsų laimikiai, vietos, nuotraukos ir pastabos saugomi tik jūsų telefone.
• Žuvų atpažinimas vyksta jūsų telefone. Nuotraukos niekur nesiunčiamos.
• Kad parodytų orus ir kibimo prognozę, programėlė orų tarnybai siunčia apytikslę vietą (suapvalintą maždaug iki 100 m).
• Programėlė siunčia anoniminę naudojimo statistiką, kuri padeda ją tobulinti. Ją bet kada galite išjungti.

1. Informacija, saugoma tik jūsų įrenginyje

Ši informacija lieka jūsų telefone ir mums niekada nesiunčiama:

• laimikiai: rūšis, svoris, ilgis, masalas, būdas, pastabos, nuotraukos, data ir laikas, vieta ir kartu išsaugoti orai;
• išsaugotos žvejybos vietos (pavadinimas ir koordinatės);
• trofėjai ir asmeniniai rekordai;
• jūsų nustatymai.

Bet kurį įrašą galite ištrinti programėlėje. Ištrynus programėlę, ištrinami visi duomenys.

Eksportas ir importas. Eksportuojant duomenis, programėlė sukuria ZIP failą ir atidaro telefono bendrinimo meniu. Jūs pasirenkate, kur failas bus išsaugotas (pvz., debesijos saugykloje ar el. laiške). Nuo tada galioja tos paslaugos privatumo politika. Mes šio failo negauname.

2. Vieta

Jei leidžiate, programėlė naudoja telefono vietą tik tada, kai ji atidaryta: kad parodytų vietinę prognozę, išsaugotų vietas ir pridėtų vietą prie laimikių. Galite nesutikti ir žvejybos vietas pasirinkti žemėlapyje.

Orų duomenims gauti programėlė siunčia koordinates, suapvalintas maždaug iki 100 m, tarnybai Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com ir marine-api.open-meteo.com). Vietovės pavadinimui parodyti ir tinkamoms žvejybos taisyklėms parinkti naudojama telefono vietovių paslauga („Google“ – „Android“, „Apple“ – iOS). Ta pati paslauga naudojama išsaugoto laimikio vietovės pavadinimui parodyti, kai laimikį atidarote. Mes jūsų vietos negauname ir nesaugome.

Paspaudus Atidaryti žemėlapyje prie laimikio ar valčių nuleidimo vietos, atsidaro telefono žemėlapių programėlė ties ta vieta. Nuo tada galioja tos programėlės privatumo politika.

3. Kamera ir nuotraukos

Programėlė kamerą ar nuotraukų galeriją naudoja tik tada, kai pridedate nuotrauką prie laimikio arba atpažįstate žuvį. Žuvų atpažinimas vyksta tik jūsų telefone, nuotraukos niekur nesiunčiamos. Pridėtos nuotraukos saugomos programėlėje jūsų telefone.

4. Žemėlapiai ir gylių žemėlapiai

Žemėlapį teikia „Google Maps“ („Android“) ir „Apple Maps“ (iOS) – tiek žemėlapio ekrane, tiek mažame žemėlapyje prie išsaugoto laimikio. Ežerų ir jūrų gylių sluoksniai įkeliami iš viešų žemėlapių paslaugų: „EMODnet Bathymetry“ (ES), geoportal.lt (Lietuva), Suomijos aplinkos instituto SYKE (Suomija) ir Norvegijos vandens išteklių ir energetikos direktorato NVE (Norvegija). Šios paslaugos gauna žiūrimą žemėlapio sritį ir, kaip ir su bet kuria interneto užklausa, jūsų IP adresą. Joms galioja jų pačių privatumo politikos. Jokios kitos informacijos apie jus programėlė joms nesiunčia.

Valčių nuleidimo ir žvejybos vietos. Jos paimtos iš „OpenStreetMap“ (© „OpenStreetMap“ bendruomenė, ODbL) ir saugomos pačioje programėlėje. Joms parodyti interneto nereikia, o informacija apie tai, kur žiūrite, niekur nesiunčiama.

5. Anoniminė naudojimo statistika

Kad suprastume, kurios funkcijos naudojamos ir ką tobulinti, programėlė siunčia anoniminę naudojimo statistiką paslaugai PostHog, kuri ją saugo serveriuose Europos Sąjungoje.

Kas siunčiama: kurie ekranai atidaromi; funkcijų įvykiai, pavyzdžiui, kad užregistruotas laimikis (su rūšimi ir ar pridėta nuotrauka, svoris ar ilgis), kad atpažinta žuvis (su labiausiai tikėtina rūšimi ir rezultato tikslumu), kad iš sąrašo pasirinktas masalas ar atidaryta parduotuvės nuoroda (su masalo ir parduotuvės pavadinimu), kad atidarytas dėsningumų ekranas (su laimikių skaičiumi) ar kurie žemėlapio sluoksniai įjungti; pirmojo paleidimo įvado žingsniai; programėlės versija, operacinė sistema, įrenginio modelis ir kalba; atsitiktinis ID, sukurtas įdiegus programėlę.

Kas niekada nesiunčiama: koordinatės, vietovių ar vietų pavadinimai, pastabos, nuotraukos, bet kas, ką įvedate, jūsų vardas ar el. paštas. Mes nekuriame naudotojų profilių ir nenustatome jūsų buvimo vietos pagal IP adresą; IP adresai nesaugomi.

Jūsų pasirinkimas: statistika įjungta pagal numatytuosius nustatymus. Ją bet kada galite išjungti skiltyje Vietos → Nustatymai → Anoniminė naudojimo statistika. Po to niekas daugiau nesiunčiama.

Teisinis pagrindas: mūsų teisėtas interesas užtikrinti gerą programėlės veikimą ir ją tobulinti (BDAR 6 straipsnio 1 dalies f punktas). Saugojimo laikas: 12 mėnesių, po to duomenys ištrinami.

6. Kibimo pranešimai

Jei įjungiate kibimo pranešimus, programėlė juos suplanuoja jūsų telefone pagal jau atsisiųstą prognozę. Nenaudojama jokia pranešimų siuntimo paslauga ir niekam nesiunčiamas joks pranešimų identifikatorius.

7. Dalijimasis

Kai dalijatės laimikiu, trofėjumi ar prognoze, programėlė atidaro telefono bendrinimo meniu, o gavėją pasirenkate jūs. Laimikių ir trofėjų kortelėse niekada nebūna koordinačių; vietovės pavadinimas rodomas tik jei jį įjungiate. Bendrinamoje prognozėje yra nuoroda su apytiksle sritimi (suapvalinta maždaug iki 10 km), kad gavėjas galėtų atidaryti tą pačią prognozę.

8. Partnerių (afiliacijos) nuorodos

Kai kurios programėlėje rodomos žvejybos priemonės (pavyzdžiui, siūlomi masalai ir masalai rūšiai, arba jūsų laimikių dienoraštyje) nukreipia į pardavėją, pvz., „Amazon“ ar specializuotą žvejybos reikmenų parduotuvę. Tai partnerių (afiliacijos) nuorodos: jei po paspaudimo ką nors nusiperkate, galime gauti nedidelę komisiją – jums tai nieko papildomai nekainuoja. Paspaudus nuorodą, ji atidaroma naršyklėje; nuo tada galioja pardavėjo privatumo politika ir slapukai. Mes negauname jokios informacijos apie tai, ką (jei išvis) nusipirkote.

9. Kita

• Įvertinimai. Programėlė gali pasiūlyti ją įvertinti per „Google Play“ ar „App Store“ įvertinimo langą. Tai tvarko „Google“ arba „Apple“; mes matome tik viešą įvertinimą, jei jį paliekate.
• Atsiliepimai el. paštu. Jei parašote mums, gauname jūsų el. pašto adresą ir laišką ir naudojame juos tik atsakymui. Susirašinėjimą ištriname, kai jo nebereikia.
• Nuorodos. Nuorodos į oficialias žvejybos taisykles ir leidimus atidaromos naršyklėje. Tose svetainėse galioja jų pačių privatumo politikos.

10. Vaikai

Programėlė nėra skirta jaunesniems nei 13 metų vaikams, ir mes sąmoningai nerenkame jų informacijos.

11. Jūsų teisės

Pagal BDAR turite teisę susipažinti su savo asmens duomenimis, juos ištaisyti ir ištrinti, apriboti jų tvarkymą ar jam prieštarauti, taip pat teisę į duomenų perkeliamumą. Dauguma jūsų duomenų yra tik jūsų telefone, todėl juos valdote patys. Naudojimo statistika anoniminė, todėl dažniausiai negalime jos susieti su jumis; ją išjungus, duomenys nebėra renkami. Dėl bet kokių klausimų rašykite medianomine@gmail.com.

Taip pat galite pateikti skundą Valstybinei duomenų apsaugos inspekcijai (vdai.lrv.lt) arba savo šalies priežiūros institucijai.

Kaip ištrinti savo duomenis

1. Viskas, kas yra telefone (laimikiai, vietos, nuotraukos, pastabos, trofėjai, nustatymai): ištrinkite atskirus įrašus programėlėje arba pašalinkite programėlę. Pašalinus programėlę, visi duomenys ištrinami negrįžtamai. Mes jų kopijos neturime, todėl pas mus nieko nelieka.
2. Anoniminė naudojimo statistika: išjunkite ją skiltyje Vietos → Nustatymai → Anoniminė naudojimo statistika. Nuo tada niekas daugiau nesiunčiama.
3. Jau surinkta statistika: parašykite medianomine@gmail.com ir paprašykite ją ištrinti. Duomenyse nėra nei vardo, nei el. pašto, nei vietos, todėl, kad rastume jūsų įrašus, nurodykite atsitiktinį diegimo ID iš Vietos → Nustatymai. Ištriname per 30 dienų. Kitu atveju duomenys automatiškai ištrinami po 12 mėnesių.

Paskyros trinti nereikia – programėlėje jos nėra.

12. Saugumas

Visi duomenys, kuriuos programėlė siunčia internetu, yra šifruojami (HTTPS).

13. Pakeitimai

Jei ši politika pasikeis, atnaujinsime šį puslapį ir datą viršuje.
